I've had mixed feelings about our latest flick, Do The Right Thing. The film takes place in Bedford-Stuyvesant, New York during the late 80's and is primarily aimed toward race relations in America. Director Spike Lee does an excellent job of transferring his vision through acting and cinematography, however, I did not particularly like it. I feel like many of the African-American actors were portrayed as extremely ignorant and obnoxious. Living in a very tame enviroment, it's almost impossible to imagine someone strolling into a corner store with a boombox and cursing out the clerk...There were some parts of this film that angered me, especially the ending, nevertheless, I enjoyed this film as a whole.
